Feni, Jan. 30 -- e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Friday said the party aims to build a discrimination-free Bangladesh in line with the aspirations of the people by rejecting dynastic politics and promoting merit-based leadership.

"We want to abolish the zamindari system and the culture of the king's son becoming king or the minister's son becoming minister," he said while addressing an election rally organised by Feni District Jamaat-e-Islami at the Feni Government Pilot High School ground.

He said the 11-party alliance would work to build an equal Bangladesh where even the son of a rickshaw puller could become prime minister if he has the required ability.
