, Jan. 24 -- e-Islami activists allegedly attacked a Jatiya Party election rally in Jessore city on Friday evening, damaging campaign equipment and banners.

The incident took place around 6:45pm at the Taltola Mor area, where the Jatiya Party campaign for Jessore-3 candidate Khobir Gazi was ongoing. The party's joint district convener, Nazrul Islam, filed a written complaint with Kotwali police station.

According to the complaint, three e-rickshaws used for campaign sound systems were in operation when over a hundred Jamaat supporters reportedly arrived with a procession, disrupting the campaign, breaking a microphone, and tearing banners.
