Natore, July 25 -- The Student and Youth Affairs Secretary of Islami Andolan's Natore district unit, Altaf Reza Abir (40), was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday evening.

The crash occurred around 7:30pm in the Borohorishpur Police Lines area of the town when a motorcycle carrying the district president of the party collided head-on with another coming from the opposite direction. All four riders were thrown off their bikes.

Fire service personnel rescued the injured and rushed them to Natore Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared Abir dead.
