, Oct. 3 -- Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, a leading private bank, has regained control of its verified official Facebook page, approximately 12 hours after it was compromised by hackers early Friday morning.

The bank's public relations division confirmed the recovery, stating that control was successfully restored around 4:00 PM on Friday (October 3).

The Head of Public Relations, Nazrul Islam told UNB, "The page was hacked in the morning. After continuous communication with the Facebook authorities throughout the day, we were able to get the control back. The page is now being operated normally."

After the breach, the hacker group, identified as 'Team MS 47OX', changed the page's profile and cover photos to display their own logo.
