, Nov. 15 -- An Indian prisoner has died while in custody at Bagerhat District Jail. Bablu Das, 25, passed away on Friday night around 12:30 am while undergoing treatment at Bagerhat 250-Bed District Hospital. Following an autopsy on Saturday, his body was kept in the hospital morgue.
Bablu Das was a fisherman from Harupoint Coastal Thana, Kalinagar West, Gangadharapur village in South 24 Parganas, India.
He was arrested by the Bangladesh Navy on July 14 for allegedly fishing in Bangladesh's maritime waters and was sent to Bagerhat Jail through the court on July 15.
