Narayanganj, Aug. 29 -- An imam of a mosque here was arrested Wednesday, on charges of slaughtering another imam after the deceased demanded repayment of his lone money.

Police arrested the killer Wahiduzzaman, imam of a mosque of Shibchar area in Madaripur, from Shibchar on charge of his involvement with the slaughtering of Didarul Islam, Imam of Mollikerpara Jame mosque under Sonargaon upazila.

The deceased Didarul Islam is the son of Aftab Farazi of Khulna Terokhada village.

SI Abul Kalam Azad of Sonargaon thana conducted drive in Madaripur area through Information Technology and arrested him six days after the incident.
