Dhaka, March 3 -- Four people died after a fire broke out at 'Saudia', a hotel in Bashatala, Shahjadpur, on Monday.
One of the victims' bodies was found inside a bathroom on the sixth floor, and three were found on the staircase with the staircase door locked, said Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Station Officer Talha bin Jasim.

The fire broke out on the second floor of the six-storey building around noon, and the fire service control room received the information at 12:17 pm.
In response, two firefighting units were dispatched to the scene, said Rashed Bin Khalid, duty officer at the control room.
