Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday said stern action will be taken against those who try to incite communal disharmony showing no tolerance for acts that disturb the social fabric of the nation.

The home minister was speaking at a Janmashtami program by a section of the Hindu community at Swamibagh ISKCON temple of the city in the afternoon.

He said that people of all religions have been celebrating their own religious festivals smoothly over the last 10 years without any chaos due to strict surveillance of law enforcement agencies. "So if anyone tries to incite a quarter centering religion, it will not be tolerated. Strict legal action will be taken," he said.
