Dhaka, April 26 -- Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has been directed to conduct a feasibility study on the radiation level emitted from mobile towers and its effect on public health and environment.

A High Court bench comprising Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir on Thursday asked BTRC to submit the study report within four months following a writ petition filed by a local rights organization Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh in 2012.

Deputy Attorney General Qazi Zinat Haque represented the state while Advocate Manzil Murshid, Ripon Baroi and Sanjay Mondol represented the petitioner and Khandaker Reza-E-Rakib represented BTRC.
