Rajshahi, Nov. 11 -- A Rajshahi court on Tuesday sentenced a headmaster of a high school to life term in prison in a case over the rape of an SSC examinee after abduction more than three years back in Natore.

Rajshahi Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Md Mahiduzzaman also sentenced him to 14 years of jail for abduction, said the court's public prosecutor Munshi Abul Kalam Azad.

The convict is Firoz Ahmed, headmaster of Mariam Memorial Girls' School in Natore.

Prosecutor Azad said the victim was standing near the main gate of the school after her practical exam on October 1, 2022.
