, Jan. 22 -- A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed Md Rubel Ahmed, an accused in the murder case of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman bin Hadi, on a six-day remand.
Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam passed the order after a hearing in the afternoon.
Earlier, the investigation officer of the case, CID Assistant Superintendent of Police Abdul Qadir Bhuiyan, produced the accused before the court and sought a 10-day remand for interrogation.
However, no lawyer representing the defence was present during the hearing.
According to the case statement, Sharif Osman Bin Hadi had been serving as the spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho, a political and cultural platform formed in the aftermath of the uprising.
