Dhaka, May 28 -- The government has formed an ad-hoc Bar Council under Article 8 of the Bangladesh Legal Practitioners and Bar Council Order, 1972 (President's Order No. 46 of 1972), according to an official notification issued Tuesday.
The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs published the Statutory Regulatory Order listing the newly appointed members of the ad-hoc Bar Council.

The ad-hoc Bar Council will be headed by the Attorney General of Bangladesh and will include 14 prominent lawyers and legal professionals from across the country.
