Dhaka, Jan. 8 -- The government on Thursday expressed confidence that a free, fair and impartial election can be held despite concerns over the experience of district administrators (DCs) appointed before the announcement of the election schedule.
"The field administration is ready and competent. If any deviation is noticed anywhere, immediate action will be taken," Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid told reporters at the Secretariat.
Asked whether he remains optimistic about ensuring a fair and impartial election under the current administration, the Cabinet Secretary said, "I am still optimistic. It can be done, InshaAllah."
