, Nov. 12 -- The government on Wednesday approved in principle a proposal to procure liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Aramco Trading Singapore Pte Ltd on a short-term basis under a Government-to-Government (G2G) arrangement.
The decision was taken at a meeting of Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs at the Cabinet Division Conference Room in the Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed presiding.
The Energy and Mineral Resources Division placed the proposal, which seeks to process the short-term LNG procurement under Section 68 of the Public Procurement Act, 2006, and relevant provisions of the Public Procurement Rules, 2025.
