Dhaka, Jan. 21 -- The government has decided to provide Tk 2 crore in financial assistance to the family of Inqilab Moncho leader Sharif Osman Hadi.

The aid included Tk 1 crore for purchasing a flat in Dhaka and another Tk 1 crore for livelihood support.

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed disclosed the decision on Wednesday while talking to reporters after a meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase at the Secretariat.

"One crore taka will be given from the Ministry of Finance for purchasing a flat or house. The entire amount may not be required. Another one crore taka is being provided separately from the Chief Adviser's Office for the family's livelihood," he said.
