, Feb. 24 -- The government has renamed four highways and eight bridges, all of which were named after the names of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family.

The Road Transport and Bridges Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Monday.

According to the notice, the Dhaka-Mawa Highway, which was known as the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Expressway, has been renamed as Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway while Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Highway in Sylhet was renamed as Airport Bypass Intersection-Lalbagh-Salutikar-Companiganj-Bholaganj National Highway.
