Chuadanga, Feb. 28 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 6 Battalion has recovered four gold bars from an abandoned cattle shed in Hudapara village of Damurhuda upazila, Chuadanga.
The gold was reportedly stored for illegal smuggling into India. However, the house owner accused in the case remains at large.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued by Lieutenant Colonel Nazmul Hasan, Director of Chuadanga Battalion (6 BGB), on Friday morning (Feb 28).
According to the press release, BGB was informed that a consignment of gold was hidden in an abandoned cattle shed near a border-side house in Hudapara, intended for smuggling into India.
