Dhaka, July 9 -- French Special Envoy for Myanmar Christian Lechervy on Wednesday reaffirmed France's commitment to engaging with all relevant stakeholders to facilitate a sustainable solution, emphasising the importance of addressing humanitarian needs on both sides of the border.

Ambassador Lechervy met Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka.

Their discussions focused on the urgent need for a lasting resolution to the protracted Rohingya crisis, including early repatriation and the decreasing trend of humanitarian assistance for the Rohingya people, said the ministry.
