, Aug. 7 -- A Dhaka court on Thursday sent former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque in a case filed over graft and the delivery of a manipulated judgment.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifuzzaman passed the order when police produced him before the court after completion of his seven-day remand.

Earlier on July 30, a Dhaka court placed Khairul Haque on a seven-day remand in the case.

According to the case statement, in 2012, the former chief justice delivered a verdict that annulled the 13th amendment to the Constitution.

A lawyer filed the case on August 27 last year with the Shahbagh Police station.

On July 23 this year, detectives arrested Khairul from his Dhanmondi residence.
