Dhaka, May 17 -- A fire broke out at the third floor of a three-storey commercial building adjacent to Shahjalal Islami Bank in the capital's Motijheel area on Saturday evening.
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters media cell, the blaze was reported at 6:17 pm and the first unit reached the scene by 6:28 pm.

Four units from Siddique Bazar Fire Station were deployed and worked to bring the fire under control. After intense efforts, the fire was brought under control at 7:14 pm, said Talha bin Jashim, Station officer of the FSCD headquarters media cell.
