Dhaka, March 16 -- Reaffirming that their party is committed to carrying out reforms, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday urged the interim government to arrange the national election promptly to restore stability and resist the resurgence of fascist forces.
"On behalf of the BNP, I would like to say that we're committed to reforms. We presented a 31-point outline for reforms two years ago, when no one raised the issue," he told an iftar party.
The Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) and the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) organised the iftar on the Jatiya Press Club premises.
