Dhaka, May 23 -- BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir returned home on Thursday from Bangkok after receiving medical treatment there for nearly a week.

The BNP secretary general along with his wife Rahat Ara Begum landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines around 7:10pm, said BNP chairperson's media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

On May 15, Fakhrul went to Bangkok for received treatment at Bumrungrad International Hospital for various health complexities, including cardiac problem.
