Dhaka, Feb. 12 -- Law enforcement agencies have detained Hossain Muhammad Murad, also known as Sohel Murad, personal assistant (PA) to ex-MP Sheikh Helal Uddin, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport upon his return from abroad.

Immigration police detained Murad on Tuesday evening and later handed over to the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) the same night, sources at the airport's intelligence unit confirmed.

Additional Police Commissioner of DB, Rezaul Karim Mallik said legal proceedings regarding Murad are currently underway.
