Narayanganj, April 28 -- Former Law Minister Anisul Huq was attacked by members of the public, including lawyers, who were gathered at the Narayanganj court premises on Monday afternoon, where he was taken for a hearing.

A section of lawyers and justice seekers slapped and landed punches on the helmet of the former minister but he was not reportedly injured in the attack.

Earlier in the day, Anisul was produced before the court in a case over the murder of 19-year-old madrasa student Sulaiman involving the July movement.

After hearing, the court placed him on a four-day remand.
