, Feb. 25 -- A Narayanganj court on Tuesday put former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak on remand for 12 days in three cases filed in Narayanganj during the anti-discrimination student movement.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Belayet Hossain passed the order in two murder cases filed with Sadar and Siddhirganj Police Stations, said court inspector Kaiyum Khan.

Police produced Palak before the court seeking 4-day remand each in the three cases.

On August 14, 2024, Zunaid Ahmed Palak was arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) police from Nikunja residential area.

Later, he was arrested in 46 cases and the court palced him on a 31-day remand in various cases.
