Dhaka, April 8 -- The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Tuesday allowed the prosecution to interrogate former Chattogram-6 MP ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury for a day in a case over crimes against humanity during the July uprising in Chattogram.

He will be interrogated by the prosecution on April 16.

A three-member tribunal headed by ICT Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mojumdar passed the order, said Chief Prosecutor Advocate Tajul Islam.

Though the defendant's lawyer submitted a petition for bail citing his illness, the court rejected it and sent April 20 for hearing the petition.
