, May 10 -- Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has detained five people including a former Awami League (AL) MP during a drive in the capital.

DMP's Deputy Commissioner (Media) Talibur Rahman said the names and identities of the detainees will be disclosed later.

The drive was carried out as part of the DB's ongoing drives against various criminal and subversive activities, he added.
