Bangladesh, Dec. 8 -- The government will gradually set up buffer warehouses at every district to facilitate the storage and distribution of fertiliser, State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder said Sunday.

Thirteen buffer warehouses are being installed and another 34 are in the pipeline, he said while visiting fertiliser reserve and supply system at Transit Point at Nowapara of Jashore.

Kamal said there is no shortage of fertiliser in the country, according to a PID handout.

He said the country has a reserve of 9,00,000 metric tonnes of urea fertiliser this year and more are being imported from abroad.
