Chattogram, May 7 -- In this era of globalisation, national development is not possible without the advancement of technology and engineering knowledge, Member Secretary of the "Bangladesh Sommilito Peshajibi Porishod" Kader Gani Chowdhury said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a discussion marking the 77th founding anniversary of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Chattogram Centre, Chowdhury emphasised the pivotal role engineers must play in building a sustainable and humane Bangladesh.

He said that the modern world is driven by science and technology.

There is no area of society untouched by technological advancements," he said, adding, Every day, new technological innovations are being added, all aimed at solving problems."
