Dhaka, May 20 -- An electrician died after suffering an electric shock in the capital's Nimtola area on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mozammel Hossain, 35, an electrician who used to work in Orion Company and son of Abdur Kader Khan of Mymensingh sadar upazila.

Mozammel got electrocuted while working on an electric line using a ladder around 10:40am under the Nimtola flyover .

Korban Ali, a co-worker who witnessed the incident, rescued him and took him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 11:20 am where doctors declared him dead.
