, Jan. 5 -- Any attempts to disrupt the upcoming national election will be dealt with an iron hand, said Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Monday.
"Members of the forces will be allowed to enter polling stations or any area at any time to prevent any attempts to destabilise law and order or hinder the election," he told reporters after a meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Law and Order at the Secretariat.
Those who will try to sabotage the election will fail as law enforcement agencies have been instructed to act more strictly to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election, said the adviser.
