, Dec. 27 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday said concerns over the national election have largely eased following Tarique Rahman's return to Bangladesh from London.

Speaking to reporters on the Dhaka University campus before visiting the grave of July uprising activist Sharif Osman Hadi, he, however, said conspiracies are still there in different forms.

"Conspiracies always exist, and it is not possible to predict everything in advance. But Tarique Rahman's return to the country has largely removed the conspiracies and concerns surrounding the election," Fakhrul said.
