Sherpur, May 30 -- year-old woman has been killed in an attack by a herd of wild elephants in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur district, police and locals said on Friday.
The incident occurred on Thursday night.
With this, three people, including two farmers, were killed in such attacks over the past 10 days.
The deceased was identified as Suratun Nesa, wife of late Rongu Sheikh of Batkuchi Namapara area the upazila.

According to locals, a herd of 15 elephants descended from the hills in search of food amid rain, dragged the sleeping woman out of the house and crushed her to the courtyard and killed her.
