, Sept. 26 -- Munshiganj, Sep 26 (UNB) - Police recovered the hanging body of an elderly man with his hands tied behind his back beside a one-storey house in the Koykirttan area of Sreenagar upazila on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Rafiq Sheikh, 60, a resident of the upazila. According to family members and police, Rafiq worked as a caretaker for his neighbor, Rana Sheikh's house.

Around 2 am, he told his elder daughter that the presence of unknown people near the house had increased recently. After that, he went out. When he did not return by 4 am, his daughter began searching for him and found him hanging from a tree with his hands tied behind his back.
