Dhaka, March 31 -- Muslims across Bangladesh are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr, their biggest religious festival on Monday after a month of fasting.
The Shawwal moon was sighted on Sunday evening, confirming the end of Ramadan.
Dr Yunus offers Eid prayers at National Eidgah
Thousands have already left Dhaka to celebrate Eid with their families in their village homes.
Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus offerrd Eid prayers at the National Eidgah grounds at 8:30 am.
He will later exchange Eid greetings with dignitaries at his office in Tejgaon.
Earlier, the Chief Adviser greeted the people of the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
