Bangladesh, Nov. 18 -- Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed on Tuesday asked the members of Bangladesh Police to earn people's affection by providing legal services to them raising above all irregularities and corruption.

"The job of the police has to be done with pride, honesty and love. You should discharge your duties with honesty alongside encouraging other colleagues to be honest," he said.

The IGP said all the crimes, including corruption, will come down if every police personnel work as a 'whistleblower' from their respective positions.

"We want to ensure the welfare of every force and officer. But we don't want to see corrupt people in this service," he added.
