, May 17 -- A Dhaka Court on Saturday placed three people three people, arrested in a case filed over the killing of Shahriar Alam Shammo, a Dhaka University (DU) student and a leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), on a six-day remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shaheen Reza passed the order when sub-inspector of Shahbagh Police Station Toufique Hasan and also the investigating officer of the case produced them before the court with 10-day remand prayer for each.

The accused were identified as Tamim Hawladar, Palash Sardar and Samrat Mallik.
