Dhaka, Dec. 30 -- Dhaka University is in mourning following the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Chairperson of the BNP. Her passing has plunged teachers, students, officers, and staff of the university into deep grief and sorrow.
The Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellors, and Treasurer of the university have expressed their condolences. In addition, banners expressing mourning have been displayed in various residential halls, and special prayers are being offered at mosques.
