, May 26 -- The investigation committee formed by Dhaka University (DU) submitted its report on the murder of Shahriar Alam Shammo, a Chhatra Dal leader, to the university authorities.

The report was handed over to Vice-Chancellor Niaz Ahmed Khan at the VC's office on Monday morning, said a press release issued by the university's Public Relations Office.

Prof Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and convener of the probe committee, submitted the report to the VC.

Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed and Assistant Proctor Sharmin Kabir, also the member secretary of the committee, were present.

Necessary actions will be taken in line with university regulations after reviewing the report, said the press release.
