Dhaka, May 31 -- The Dhaka University (DU) unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has alleged that a major conspiracy may be behind the killing of its leader SM Shahriar Alam Shammo, but it is not being properly investigated.

At a press conference held at Madhu's Canteen on campus on Saturday (May 31), the student wing of BNP expressed grave concern over what they termed as the lack of transparency and seriousness in the ongoing investigation into the killing.

Leaders of the DU Chhatra Dal unit expressed disappointment over what they called the administration's negligence and the police's biased conduct, claiming that these factors have rendered the investigation process questionable.
