Gazipur, May 6 -- Workers of a readymade garment factory blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway for around two and a half hours protesting the death of a fellow worker in a road accident in Gazipur city on Tuesday morning.

The protesters said a speeding truck crashed into one of the female workers and left her dead on the spot in Hurricane Bust Stand area under Gachha police station of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) around 8:15am.

Followign the death, the co-workers of Interloop BD Limited took to the highway halting the vehicular movement and it continued till around 11am.
