Manikganj, Feb. 5 -- Kazirhat and Paturia-Daulatdia routes in Manikganj have been suspended since early Wednesday due to dense fog, leaving more than 400 vehicles stuck at four terminals.

Nasir Chowdhury, Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) in Aricha region, said the severity of the fog intensified around 2 am covering the entire river route and making navigation lights invisible.

To avoid any accidents, the ferry operations on the Aricha-Kazirhat route were suspended at 2am, he said.
