Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- Launch movement across the country was suspended again on Monday due to dense fog.

The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) said in a press release that, as the existing dense fog may intensify further, all types of launch movement from Sadarghat to Chandpur, including routes in the southern region, have been suspended from 5:30 pm.

Earlier on Sunday, the government had also suspended launch movement from Sadarghat and across the country from the evening due to dense fog.

Four people were killed in a collision between two launches on the Meghna River in Chandpur last Thursday night amid dense fog.
