Dhaka, Sept. 28 -- Four more deaths from dengue were reported in the 24 hours leading up to Sunday morning, as Bangladesh continues to grapple with a surge in infections during the peak season.
With the latest fatalities, the total number of deaths from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh has risen to 192 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
All four of the new deaths were reported in Dhaka city-two in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and two in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
During this period, 845 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, bringing the total number of cases to 46,051 so far this year.
