Dhaka, Feb. 18 -- Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of all 64 districts have been instructed to apply the full extent of the law in their roles as returning officers in the upcoming national election, according to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin.

He gave the instruction at the final session on the last day of the three-day DCs Conference held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

"The EC will use its powers to the best of its power centering the election, and the DCs were directed to exercise the maximum of the law," he said.
