Bogura, Aug. 29 -- DB police in Bogura on Thursday night rescued two men and arrested seven members of a gang who allegedly trapped them in a honey trap scheme, held them hostage and demanded Tk 4 lakh in ransom.

The raid was carried out around 10pm at a fifth-floor flat in Rahman Villa, Chakshutrapur area of the town.

The arrestees were - Mohsin Kazi Sijan, 24, Omar Sarkar, 35, (brother of former councillor Matin Sarkar), Keya Begum, 33, Afsana Mimi, 24, Kamrunnahar Adhora, 22, Enamul Hossain aka Raihan, 27, and Nayan Hossain, 35.

Police also recovered Tk 5,100 and two mobile phones snatched from the victims.
