Dhaka, April 8 -- A Dhaka court has granted a four-day remand for former prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal, Barrister Tureen Afroz in a case of attempted murder related to the July uprising in the capital's Uttara West Police Station.
On Tuesday, Tureen was presented before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Dhaka by the police.
Subsequently, the investigation officer, SI Suman Mia of Uttara West Police Station, filed a petition for a ten-day remand to ensure a thorough investigation into the case.
On the other hand, Tureen herself presented her statement in court, although no lawyer represented her.
