Dhaka, May 28 -- A man and his wife were brutally murdered allegedly by the woman's extramarital lover in the capital's Pallabi area on Wednesday afternoon.

The victims were identified as Pappu, 35, and his wife Dolon Akter Dola, 28. The incident took place at their residence on the 4th floor of a 5-storey building at Mirpur Section-11 under Pallabi Police Station.

According to police, the suspect, Gaus Mia, reportedly attacked the couple with a sharp weapon, killing both over a dispute stemming from an illicit affair.
