, Sept. 7 -- slit body of a woman and the hanging body of her husband from a house at Dakkhin Eitbaria village in Sadar upazila of Barguna district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Swapan Molla, 32, son of Abdul Khalek and his wife Aklima, 28,of the same village.

Police also rescued the couple's two children from the house.

Quoting Swapan's cousin Mohammad Yeakub Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police station, said Sadia, five-year-daughter the couple, first informed the matter to Razia, another cousin of Swapan.

Later, Razia entered the house and found the body of Aklima in a pool of blood while that of Swapan hanging from the ceiling of his house.
