Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Deputy Minister AKM Enamul Haque Shameem on Sunday said corruption in the construction work of the dams in the erosion-prone areas will not be tolerated any more.

"We will whatever needed to check river erosion ahead of the monsoon and we have taken it as a challenge," said the deputy minister while speaking at a dialogue at Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum, held at the Secretariat.

"I will not allow any corruption in the Ministry as we are working focusing on the Prime Minister's 'Zero tolerance policy' against corruption."

Replying to a question about Teesta issue, the Minister said they are optimistic about quick solution to the problem.
